If you've booked to come to Villa Verde, there are a few things you might want to think about before travelling.

We provide all bedding and towels for your studio but we don't automatically provide beach towels.  Please bring your own.

The nearest beaches have a few rocks and stones so you might want to bring some plastic shoes with you.  They can be hard to find here in Nea Makri.

We have three bicycles, on a first come first serve basis, so please also let us know if you would like to reserve one or more.  There's a man's 26", a lady's 24", and a 24" mountain bike.

We also have two sun beds with umbrellas for guests who have a car to take to the beach  We ask for a small contribution and they're available again on a first come first serve basis.  Please let us know if you would like to reserve them.

We have one pay-as-you-go mobile telephone, without credit, once again on a first come first served basis.  This may be especially useful to our guests from the USA whose phones often will not accept Greek SIM cards.  This way you can leave the number with family and friends before you travel so that they can contact you directly at all times whilst you're staying with us.

A local travel company runs some great value coach trips.  We can reserve places for you if you're interested.  Please see this year's day trips here.

Depending upon what time you expect to arrive, you might like us to get some shopping in for you.  There's a street market with fresh local produce every Thursday morning.  When you're here we'll drive you to the supermarket if you don't have a car.

There are bank cash machines at the airport that accept most debit and credit cards so please don't get overcharged by the currency exchange bureaux.  There are also plenty of banks with cash machines here in Nea Makri.  If you prefer to bring travellers' cheques, buy them in Euros to avoid heavy fees.
